The Bionics Research Center at the Bio-Medical Convergence Research Division will introduce the "Disposable Wearable Ultrasound Patch Using Nano-Column CMUT," developed by Principal Researcher Lee Byung Chul. This patch performs more than three times better than existing commercial ultrasound devices and is made of silicon, addressing environmental pollution issues. Additionally, the manufacturing cost is reduced to less than one-twentieth through semiconductor processing, making it usable as a disposable product with potential expansion into home telemedicine and various industrial sectors.
